South Los Angeles community close to Inglewood’s new development
Westmont is a South Los Angeles community about 5 miles from some of the city’s newest notable additions and around 12 miles from its downtown. “It’s pretty close to Inglewood and everything they’ve built over there, like the Intuit Dome and the SoFi Stadium,” says Sheena Pratt, a Realtor at Wedgewood Homes Realty with about five years of experience. “People like the fact that it’s not in the direct center of it all, but it’s still close.” According to Pratt, homebuyers coming to the neighborhood plan to stay there for a while, contributing to Westmont’s close community. “[Neighbors] seem to know each other, and if there’s business to tell, they’ll tell it,” she says.

Stucco bungalows and multi-family units from the beginning of the 1900s
Stucco bungalows with Craftsman and Spanish Revival architecture sit on grassy plots of land, lining the gridded streets and sidewalks that make up Westmont. Most single-family homes in the neighborhood were built between the 1920s and 1940s. They mostly range from $500,000 to $1.07 million in price, depending on size and condition. Multi-family units with investment opportunities fetch from $560,000 to $1.77 million, with prices contingent on the size of the properties and number of units. Most of these properties were constructed from the turn of the 20th century through the 1960s.
