Willards is a small town between Salisbury and the beach
About halfway between Salisbury and Ocean City along U.S. Route 50 sits the small town of Willards, where houses surround a small Main Street area. “The big draw for most people would just be more affordable real estate that’s very close to Salisbury and Ocean City,” says Realtor Rachel Parker with The Parker Group. “It has a rural feel and is very quiet, but it’s close to both the beach and Salisbury, and there are bigger lot sizes because you’re out in the country.”
Active farm equipment is seen driving along Willards roads.

Single-family homes and pieces of land for sale
The housing market is mostly single-family homes in the small town or out in the countryside, Parker says. “There are not a ton of big neighborhoods there.” Ranch-style, Cape Cod and new traditional homes can be found here, and recent sales prices range from around $150,000 to $420,000. Buyers looking to build a house can typically find land for sale, ranging from around $125,000 for a 5-acre lot to $440,000 for a spacious parcel of nearly 90 acres.
More traditional 2 story homes can be found on Willards Main Street for bigger families needing more space.
New Traditional homes in Willards sit on large lots with private driveways and garage parking.

The Eastside Sports Complex, Willards Park and Recreation Area and Ocean City
Willards has two parks next to each other, totaling about 20 acres. The Eastside Sports Complex hosts baseball and softball games for children, including Willards Little League matchups, and has a playground. The Willards Park and Recreation Area is an adjacent outdoor space with a basketball court, field, tennis courts and a playground. Sixteen miles east, Ocean City has 10 miles of sandy coastline and a 3-mile boardwalk. Though lifeguards are typically on duty, the Atlantic’s strong current produces large waves, and visitors should practice caution when swimming.

Main Street dining and a nearby brewery
“Willards has a small Main Street, a volunteer fire department and a nice little coffee shop called Redeye Coffee House,” Parker says. “It has some of those cute little small-town perks.” Additional small businesses include The Modern Graze, which makes custom charcuterie boxes and boards and serves lunch, coffee and pastries from a small café. There’s also Four Seasons Pizza, a serving fresh pizza in its cozy dining room. Some groceries are available in town at Dollar General, but the nearest supermarket is Food Lion, about 10 miles east in Berlin. “It’s not technically in Willards, but the most well-known attraction is Tall Tales Taphouse, which is a local brewpub that’s in Parsonsburg,” Parker says. Seven miles west, the 22-acre Tall Tales Taphouse lets patrons enjoy brews, food and live music on its outdoor patio.
