The neighborhood has several nearby retail and dining options to choose from. Delis and convenience stores provide quick grab-and-go meals as well as grocery items. Following New Castle Road or Dupont Highway will lead to additional grocery stores and businesses. Casablanca Moroccan Restaurant has colorful yet cozy décor, and patrons can expect to bathe their hands in rose water between meal courses. Mr. Taco Mexican Grill is well-visited for the burrito bowls and quesadillas.
The Colonial School District serves the community’s students. Many young residents begin their academic journey at Harry O. Eisenberg Elementary, which earned a C+ on Niche. Sixth to eighth graders attending Calvin R. McCullough Middle can expect a daily Enrichment period that supports academic and life skills. Many take the DART bus to travel around the area. When traveling by car, locals can reach New Jersey in 10 minutes and Philadelphia within 30 to 45 minutes. Hoesterey says the neighborhood is conveniently located, with major highways nearby, such as I-95, I-495 and Route 13, which leads to a main artery in New Castle County.
