Roselle is an established suburb whose sidewalk-lined streets lead to charming single-family homes and manicured lawns shaded by mature trees. The neighborhood is bisected by Delaware Route 2 – locally known as Kirkwood Highway – which runs east-west from Newark to Wilmington and serves as an active commercial corridor in the community. “This is also known as the Prices Corner area,” says Tony Letizia, a Realtor with VRA Realty who serves all of Delaware. The nickname comes from the nearby Prices Corner Shopping Center, a one-stop-shopping destination where residents can run errands and grab a bite to eat. While Roselle is technically outside of Wilmington’s city limit, its proximity to major thoroughfares means that residents can readily traverse the 8 miles east to downtown Wilmington and beyond.

Single-family homes sit on tree-lined streets
An eclectic mix of single-family homes dots Roselle’s tree-lined streets. “It’s not a cookie-cutter neighborhood,” says Karen Ventresca, a real estate associate with Re/Max Elite who has been selling homes in Wilmington for over 30 years. “The houses are all different and you can find a variety of lot sizes.” Traditional ranch-style homes sit down the street from Cape Cod-style homes adorned with dormer windows. Homebuyers will also find charming bungalows with spacious front porches. Most homes were built in the first half of the 20th century and sit back from the streets with paved walkways leading to the front stoop. Lot sizes average less than a quarter-acre, and most homes feature three to four bedrooms. Prices in the neighborhood range from around $225,000 to $360,000.
