“Winder still has that small-town, ‘southern hospitality feel,’ but they’re developing the downtown area,” Belcher says. The expansion has included numerous local restaurants. At Latin Flavors Steakhouse, residents can dine on ribeye and sip cocktails while enjoying the rooftop views of downtown Winder. The restaurant also features a speakeasy downstairs for late-night drinks. There’s also Bistro Off Broad, which serves French-inspired dishes from farm-to-table ingredients. Le Gabrielle Crepes and Waffles serves eggs benedict and mimosas for brunch. After dining, residents can stroll downtown and shop at local businesses, like The Rustic Rack Boutique. Retail strip malls offer further shopping options. For groceries and everyday essentials, there’s Publix and Aldi.
