According to Erin Zamarro, a Coldwell Banker real estate broker and Worcester local, the neighborhood is also commonly known as “Broad Meadow Brook” and the Massasoit Road area. "One of the big draws of this area is that residents have lots of access to major transportation routes like Interstate 90," Zamarro says. This neighborhood is less than 3 miles south of downtown Worcester and approximately 4 miles north of the Martha Deering Wildlife Management Area, putting residents in close proximity to both urban and natural settings. Worcester Public Schools, which has an overall B-minus rating from Niche, is the academic district serving students in the area. Cape Cod homes reflect coastal undertones
An abundance of Cape Cod-style homes with shingled facades and dormer windows can conjure up the imagery and feel of a coastal town as opposed to a metropolitan suburb. A handful of Salt Box residences reflect Worcester’s architectural history dating back to the early 18th century. "There's also a lot of newer contemporary homes and a range of starter homes in the area," Zamarro says. Many homes here can be found tucked into residential pockets surrounded by small forests. Residents can also find a number of condominiums and apartment complexes with private amenities. A majority of residences cost between $270,000 and $540,000, but some four-bedroom contemporary homes can sell for well over $650,000.
