Tatnuck is home to Worcester State University and is a short drive from downtown. It’s considered one of the quieter neighborhoods because it’s primarily residential. Tatnuck means “at the great hill,” which refers to the hill that runs up Pleasant Street. Worcester State University is a public university within the Massachusetts university system.
