“There’s a wide range of homes here,” Knight says. Many of Youngsville’s homes are built in an updated version of the classic Acadian style, with pitched roofs and upper floors with separated areas. Fans of farmhouse exteriors can also find some barn-influenced homes in the area, along with a small selection of townhomes. With the area’s recent boom in development, most homes in Youngsville are less than a decade old on average. Values range from $130,000 for a modest ranch up to $1 million for a luxurious estate, with the typical single-family home selling for about $300,000.

Public school students in Youngsville attend schools in the Lafayette Parish School System. Kids learn the fundamentals for life at Ernest Gallet Elementary School and Lindon Elementary School, which both hold A-minus grades on Niche. Youngsville’s city government took over the management of Foster Park, a park established in the 1970s.
