I love the area for its close proximity (15-20 mins) to anywhere you'd want to go in Los Angeles. The streets are safe and clean and the people are friendly and welcoming. The population is very diverse with young professional millennials from all races and older local population. The price of real state is increasing fast due to the new Expo metro line and the newly constructed buildings around it. You will soon not be able to afford housing here. Enjoy it while you can. It's heaven on earth - to me at least.

Plams is a very safe and comfortable neighborhood. It is very well-maintained and there are plenty of shopping plazas, restaurants, parks, etc. However, the housing can be expensive which is a big obstacle for living in this area.

Absolutely no culture in Palms. Grey. Drab. It is a place to eat and sleep - that is it. I don't like driving here - narrow streets and blind turns everywhere. Not bike-able at all. I regret moving here from Santa Monica. It's like a whole different world. There is no culture.

Palms is a very urban and very busy part of Los Angeles. I think what I loved about Palms is how close it is to everything. Otherwise, the neighborhood is not the most family friendly area and not a quiet area by any means. Overhead helicopters were common and a shooting did occur in a playground near the apartment. Palms is great for working professionals who have busy lives and enjoy hustle and bustle of a busy city, however if one wants to raise a family in a typical suburb, Palms is not the place.
