About 200 years ago, massive tree trunks floated down the Spokane River toward William Post’s lumber mill. The settlement around the mill eventually turned into the city of Post Falls. The lumber was used to build pioneer housing across the region. Today, the lumber mill is the site of one of the city’s most popular parks.
