When our circumstances changed and my wife and I realized we would not be using our Chicago condo as originally anticipated, we decided that leasing rather than selling made economic sense - and to do so furnished so as to facilitate our eventual return. We contacted the agent who had assisted us in the purchase of the condo a few years earlier. However, as she was transitioning to retirement, she referred us to a colleague, assuring us that her colleague was an efficient, energetic, and successful agent who would serve us well. And so Ksenia Yankilaytes was, and so she did. In a crowded market (there were numerous units similar to ours for lease in our building) with a difficult task (most prospective tenants prefer an unfurnished unit), Ksenia quickly found us a well-qualified tenant. In addition, she made our transition to “landlord” status, a new experience for us, painless, and she made sure that all the requirements of our closely managed condo association were met.

More recently, our current tenant asked to be released from the lease a few months early as she was buying a place of her own. We agreed to release her from the contract as of the start date of the lease of an as yet to be found new tenant. We then turned to Ksenia who within just a few weeks had a new tenant under contract with a start date that coincided exactly with our old tenant’s requested release date. I note that this was at a time when similar units in our building had languished empty for several months.

My wife and I recommend Ksenia highly and without reservation. She is a savvy agent who knows the market and works hard to satisfy her client’s needs. Certainly, should we in the future need assistance with any real estate need, the first person we would turn to would be Ksenia Yankilaytes.

Ksenia was GREAT! It took my boyfriend and I 6 months of looking at houses to finally find our home!! Ksenia was so patient and kind throughout the entire process. She definitely knows her ins and outs of a house. What I appreciated most was her honesty regarding flaws and issues she was able to spot right away with a house and not skip over these problems. She literally handled all of our app with the inspection/radon/attorneys etc. she has a great team of professionals working with her and will definitely be using her services again in the future if we ever decide to move.

First things first: if you ever doubted the value-add of a real estate agent, then you have not had the opportunity to work with Ksenia Yankilaytes. Ksenia embodies expertise, integrity, patience and humanity. She earned my confidence and respect. She will work hard to earn yours. We were looking to purchase a property out-of-state in Chicago area. The distance, the absolute lack of knowledge and the pandemic made this an almost impossible mission. Ksenia made it possible! We started with condos, our initial objective, and ended up with Amazing deal we now call home. One a typical feature of our search process is that most property tours we showed interest in were performed virtually. And we visited many…. Ksenia was so accommodative, never “pushy”. Ksenia would ask great questions to refine her understanding of our needs and thus refine her suggested listings. During the tours, her live comments, her sense of detail and trained eye made those seamless and perhaps more insightful than in-person visits. We ended up putting an offer on a property without an in-person visit, travelling on-site only before closing. Real estate transactions in Illinois differ significantly from transactions in our initial home state. Ksenia was very proactive in educating us on the process and was hands-on on the many moving parts of the contracting process. She truly “had our back”, protecting our interests at all times, from the initial negotiations, through inspections and up to the final closing. As mentioned earlier, Ksenia Yankilaytes earned our confidence and our respect. She is top notch. Don’t hesitate one second!

Ksenia Yankilaytes was an exceptional advocate for us throughout the selling process. He provided excellent advice while also listening to our concerns and goals. She recognized the emotional tie we had to our home and demonstrated patience and empathy. We were very pleased to have Ksenia represent us.
Ksenia was great to work with and great at keeping in touch through the whole process of buying and selling a home or in my case multiple homes. We had two condos to sell when we found the home we wanted to buy, and she made selling of our condos very easy and the purchase of our new house just as easy. Ksenia made the 3 property transactions very hassle-free and was always accessible for any questions we had along the way. She even referred me to a lender that beat my credit unions rate by 0.75%. I’d give her 10 stars!

I recently completed two transactions with Ksenia Yankilaytes and now she's my realtor for life! Not only is Ksenia very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with, she also brings other qualities which make her the best realtor in my experience:

1. Communication. Ksenia often answered questions for me before I knew I had them. I never had to wonder when I'd hear back from her, she was always very prompt in providing relevant, timely and useful information.

2. Use of technology. I had to be away during much of the listing, selling and closing process. Ksenia is excellent in the use of IT in all aspects of the listing and sale process. Besides saving time, it also made it possible for me to do it from the road.

3. Effort and energy. Because I had to be away, Ksenia offered to do a lot of extra things that I didn't expect but certainly appreciated. I don't think it would've been possible for me to do these two transactions if Ksenia didn't volunteer to do many extra things, e.g. hiring and managing contractors to do some repairs, acting under a Power of Attorney on my behalf, and a number of other essential things. The two properties were in the lower price range, but the amount of attention Ksenia gave my transactions made me feel like I was her only client, which of course I wasn't. I honestly feel that Ksenia gave me and my business a VIP treatment that I rarely got from any other professional.

Most importantly, at every step of the way I felt Ksenia had my best interest at heart, and she was darn effective at it. In the past I often had to manage my realtors during transactions, but I've learned that with Ksenia I could just relax and let her do her job, which she's excellent at. Not even the smallest detail fell through the cracks, Ksenia was on top of everything through every step of the process. They say that quality service is attention to details, and that was certainly my experience with Ksenia.

Can’t recommend Ksenia enough. As someone new to both Chicago and the renting experience (first apartment), Ksenia was incredibly patient with me. She lives in the downtown area herself, and it’s clear that she has a lot of insight about the buildings there (knew specific characteristics such as price range / noise level / quality of amenities, etc).

I chose Ksenia as my agent because, months before I started seriously searching, I looked at a few online listings and came into contact with her. I called her again a couple months later when it was closer to the date I needed a lease, and she not only remembered my name but also the exact buildings I had been interested in (two condo buildings on North LaSalle).

She did an incredible job scheduling my apartment tours. I was looking at several condos, and she impeccably coordinated with all of the landlords to schedule all my tours in a single day.

She is also extremely responsive. I just checked my communications with her, and she always responded within minutes.

She was on time, professional, and very friendly in all of my interactions with her. You can’t go wrong with Ksenia!

Several years ago I purchased a Chicago condo on trade. I self-advertised when an agent cold called me for representation. I said no thanks, but after a brief conversation Ms Yankilaytes informed me that she could to better. In fact, she did do better - more rent and faster lease signing. Ms Yankilaytes has since did this repeatedly. Moreover, when i have been in need of assistance outside real estate sales and renting she has stepped up. She is now the only Chicago agent I need and want. I highly recommend her services!
