About Alice

A longtime resident of L.A.’s Westside, Alice Cannington loves getting to know her clients on a personal level and works tirelessly to find them the perfect home. Honest, approachable and level-headed, she brings a reputation for patience, persistence, and excellent negotiating skills to The Agency.

Working alongside her longtime friend and colleague Malyn Dahlin, Alice is passionate about helping her clients achieve their real estate goals in the city she knows and loves. Alice and Malyn each bring a strong and varied skill set to real estate that perfectly complements the other, enabling them to close incredible deals while making the transaction process a fun and enjoyable experience for their clients. Both are known for their exceptional work ethic and pride themselves on providing white-glove service to each and every client.

Before her career in real estate, Alice ran a small property management company while raising three children and was instrumental in building out a successful Westside plumbing business with her husband Drew. Alice’s firsthand knowledge of plumbing, new builds and remodels certainly lends itself well to real estate. Raising her family in the Mar Vista and Venice area has provided Alice with invaluable, first-hand knowledge of local neighborhoods and schools that she passes on to her clients. Her large network allows her to help buyers tap into the right community and narrow down their search from the get-go. Whether it’s a hip restaurant, the best surf spots or pre-school tours, Alice has the local knowledge buyers need to feel at home.

A first-generation American originally from England, Alice lived all over the world as a child, including Central America, Africa, Pakistan and Europe, giving her a global perspective and humble mindset. She and her family moved to Santa Monica when she was in middle school, and she has since built a strong community on the Westside. When she is not representing clients in real estate, Alice loves spending time at the beach with her family, watching her kids’ sports games, visiting their surf shack in Baja, frequenting the local farmers market and hosting weekend barbecues with her extended family.
