Alli represented us as buyers entering the San Diego market, and we can't recommend her enough! We are second time home buyers, and Alli was not only the most tactically sharp and experienced agent we've worked with ever, but also, she truly stood out as a transparent, confident, empathetic partner in crime. First and foremost - she got us the condo we wanted, at the $$ we wanted, and closed us within 20 days!

But going more in depth - during the search, she translated our blubbery word vomit of dreams, hobbies, and lifestyle desires into concrete criteria that we could search with. She helped steer us to the right listings, calling out the features (or lack of features) that mattered to us.

When she finally found us a condo we loved, she crafted an AMAZING offer that enabled us to compete with another offer, even though ours was below asking price & lower than the competing offer - wow! She always had her finger on the pulse of the sellers & the negotiation field, and accurately predicted seller responses every time. During closing, she helped us comb through HOA docs and paperwork and ultimately got us seller credits based on what we found. Get you an agent who has a TON of reps under their belt, so that they can navigate negotiations with the ease and confidence like Alli did.

Not only is Alli amazing, she works with amazing service providers (loan officers, inspectors) - and never did it feel like Alli was pushing them onto us. She always gave us a chance to find our own providers, but it always turned out that her folks were far far superior ^_^

And finally...we were never made to feel dumb during the process, even though there was a LOT we did not know. Alli always delivered her savvy and expertise in the most educational and calm way.

So, you want to be represented by a smart, experienced, trustworthy (I never thought I'd say 'trustworthy' in a sentence about real estate :D ) professional - pick Alli!

Alli is absolutely amazing! We started our home buying process from overseas. I searched on Facebook for San Diego realtors and judged a book by its cover. I reached out to her and one other realtor. They both responded, but the other on wanted to schedule a time for a phone interview. Alli said , “I can help you,” and she did. Alli Urguby is an excellent negotiator, is well-respected in San Diego real estate, and is a responsive and compassionate communicator and educator. She's also a fantastic person. I can't imagine working with anyone else on a real estate project.

As first-time homebuyers, we didn't know what to expect from a buyer's agent, or from the home-buying process in general. At our first meeting we noticed immediately that Alli prioritizes education and empowerment for her clients. She spent time ensuring we were comfortable with how the process works and took time to understand our priorities. We agreed on a strategy to ensure we communicated effectively and didn't miss out on opportunities. We were immediately put at ease.

She also lent us confidence that buying a home was something we could actually do. As first-time buyers this helped us dive into the process with a belief that we could make it work. It made us less willing to settle and more willing to take chances on things that seemed right for us.

That continued into the home search. Alli did her homework before showings, was quick to point out both positive and negative elements of houses we looked at, and, crucially, she listened to our reactions and didn't push us one direction or another.

When it came to negotiating and making offers she wrote strong, clean offers and set us up for success in a (perhaps unprecedentedly) strong sellers market. We noticed she was recognized several times by other agents, and clearly has strong relationships with others in the industry. We heard from the sellers agent for the house that Alli was a significant factor in why we stayed in the running. Ultimately, we think we successfully closed on our dream house because of Alli.

Alli also has a great network of professional and effective service providers. She made great recommendations for lenders, a home inspector, and a pest control company, all of which we were very happy with.

Next time we start a real estate project we will definitely try to work with Alli, and I strongly recommend that you retain her services for both buying and selling real estate in and around San Diego.

We moved back to San Diego to be closer to family, and hired Alli to help us buy our new home after some friends highly recommended her (she also helped them to buy a home). We were first time home buyers who didn't know the first thing about it. Alli was recommended to us through multiple friends who had had excellent experiences working with her.

When we started working with Alli, we had a dream house in mind---one we had had our eye on for months---but we thought based on the listing price that we could never afford it. It was the first house we toured (just to get us in the mood to look, we thought), and we quickly learned from Alli that the seller was willing to consider lower offers. Ultimately, with Alli negotiating, we ended up buying our dream house at about 50K under the listing price, with a substantial credit for repairs. As we understand it, that's basically unheard of in this market. It all went so fast and it was so surprising to get such a great deal that it was honestly a little scary. But our trust in Alli gave us the confidence to see it through.

Not only did we get a great result, but the process was also surprisingly easy. Alli walked us through every step, from figuring out our budget and loan situation to touring to recommending inspections to negotiating with the seller. We thought it was going to be stressful and work-intensive to buy a house. It wasn't at all with Alli - she arranged almost everything at every step, using contacts she knew and trusted. And besides being an excellent realtor of the utmost professionalism, Alli is also just a lovely person. It is a joy to work with her.

What to say! Buying my first home was a daunting task and I was incredibly swamped with work while navigating the process. However, Alli was so helpful, responsive and, trustworthy that I felt at ease. I've known Alli for a few years, and I can easily say she is as good of a person as she is at her job (which is awesome:) ). She helped with getting an offer accepted in a competitive market and successfully negotiating closing items. Couldn't recommend her enough.

Alli, has become a family friend since she "found" the first property that we purchased through her. We had been looking for units in Sherman Heights for years. We were always in a bidding war. Alli worked hard to find on off market property for which we were the only buyers.
A couple years later we were ready for our next acquisition and Alli made sure that our offer was strong enough to secure the homes. She worked tirelessly through all the issues to make sure that all the problems were ironed out. She know her business.
I can recommend that she be your first choice every time. EXCELLENCE and compassion, are words that come to mind.

Alli was excellent start to finish. I have been party to many real estate transactions over the years, and worked with lots of agents. I am picky and have high standards. Alli met and exceeded my hopes. One tricky part wherein she particularly impressed me was contending with a lot of offers, and customizing the multiple counter offers that we returned to the interested parties. Another aspect was when she effectively diffused tensions with an aggrieved tenant by way of her understanding and calming demeanor. I highly recommend Alli.

Alli is an amazing agent and just a lovely person to work with in general. She helped us buy a house as part of a move from NY to CA. We were looking at properties from a distance -- always stressful but she made it much less so. She's responsive and incredibly knowledgeable and well-connected. She even helped us find a NY agent to sell our house when the first person we hired proved unreliable. We're so glad we found her and we recommend her unequivocally.

I would give all the stars, Thank You’s, Positive Reviews and praise to Alli Urguby for her exceptional work. Alli and her entire team at Porchlight were nothing less than perfect. Alli brought not only her expertise to her area (I wanted Urban, Central San Diego Only) she brought warmth, kindness, professionalism and joy to the purchase of the Condo she helped my father and I find. When our budget, wants, needs or desires shifted, Alli met the challenge with a smile and simply adjusted. Alli and her entire team gave us the feeling of being her only clients. My constant emails, texts, and phone calls never went unanswered even when she was in a remote area on vacation! Our purchase had many moving parts with My dad’s VA loan, a Notary traveling to him in the hospital to sign final documents, our travelling, and od hours. Alli and her team worked tirelessly for me for over 6 months to find the perfect home. We ha a fast 15 day seamless close. I will continue to share glowing reviews about my experience with Alli and everyone involved. We are forever grateful, and truly felt like we made new friends through this home purchase.
