About Allie
Allie has always had a strong interest in real estate. Her dad was a real estate broker on the small island where she grew up in Florida. Her first job after college was in property management and then at a Title and Escrow company in Chicago. After moving to Seattle, she handled escrow closings for a small law firm, and she recalls being shocked by how many buyers and sellers came to their final escrow signing and would tell her they had no idea what was going on during their transaction. They expressed frustration and bewilderment because no one had taken the time to explain the process to them. She could see how much stress had built up over the weeks of waiting and wondering what was happening. The fact that so many people had this experience really stuck with her. Fast forward 10 years later after a successful career as a litigation paralegal, she found herself drawn back into real estate. This time during the search for her second home in Seattle when she stumbled upon a fledgling real estate start-up called Redfin. She was immediately drawn the concept of utilizing technology to make the real estate industry more consumer friendly and efficient. She was inspired to obtain her broker’s license and fortunate to get her foot in the door as employee number thirteen…and the first dedicated real estate agent hired by Redfin. It was an exciting time. They were blazing new territory on multiple levels back in the mid 2000s. Being able to tap her many years of working in real estate related jobs as a paralegal, it was a natural fit for her. The experience that had the most influence over how she built her career as a broker, was remembering those bewildered buyers and sellers who she helped during their closings all those years ago. Moving forward, she wanted to make sure she not only gained a clear understanding of her client’s goals, but she would also help educate them on the process of buying and selling a home. Sure enough, the more each client understood about what to expect, and how the different facets related to each other, and knowing she had their best interest at heart, the less stress they would feel. This liberated her clients to find more joy in the process and focus on what mattered most…finding the right home where they could thrive and be happy. Hundreds of happy clients later, she can say it has been extremely fulfilling to be able to share her many years of expertise with clients and bring clarity and confidence to a process which can otherwise feel daunting and sometimes confusing. She looks forward to discussing the many insights and strategies she can offer whether you are buying or selling a home.
