Andy has been president of both the Boise Regional Realtors® which represents the Realtors® in Boise, Eagle, Kuna, Meridian and Star, and president of the Idaho Realtors® (IR) which represents all the Realtor® members in Idaho. He served over 14 years as a member of IR's Executive Committee and was also elected as a National Director of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR). He was also elected as NAR’S Regional Vice President representing the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon & Washington on NAR’S Executive Committee. Andy was honored to have the Governor of Idaho appoint him to serve 8 years as a Real Estate Commissioner for our State. He is also a certified real estate instructor for the state of Idaho and teaches continuing education classes to real estate licensees on a regular basis during the year. A regular attendee at local, state, and national educational meetings and seminars is one of the ways he keeps current on the changes in the real estate industry. As a real estate commissioner, he is served on committees and task forces for ARELLO (Association of Real Estate License Law Officials, an international organization for real estate license law regulators). A founding member of Idaho’s “Broker’s Council” in 1983, a marketing organization for “independent” real estate offices in the Boise area. (Over 30 "non-franchise" real estate offices, title companies, mortgage lenders and real estate related companies are members of the Brokers Council). A "Lifetime" member of Boise State's Alumni Association (along with his wife) he and Linda have been long-time football & basketball season ticket holders and members of the Boise State Athletic Association (BAA) and ardently follow the football team at their home and away games (especially their "bowl" games!). He and Linda are major contributors to Boise State's Foundation for Academic Excellence as well as financial supporters of their grandchildren's schools.
