I started selling real estate full time in 1984 and was Agent of the Quarter in my first year in my office, and went on to become a Broker-Owner of two International Real Estate franchises in Tampa Bay with 55 agents, owner of two title companies and a 6,000 SF mortgage company. Serving at the local Board of Realtors as the Orientation Facilitator, training new agents in Code of Ethics, Fair Housing and rules and regs of being a member of the Realtor organization was a privilege, as was producing and teaching my RealSmart training for new and seasoned agents on customer service, how to list and sell, show properties, negotiate offers, handle closings and follow-up after the sale with the customer. Working for attorneys for 11 years (5 of it in real estate law; 6 in tax/corporate and banking) was a great background for my real estate career and my my stint as a live real estate radio talk show host for over a year, educating the public on selling and buying homes.
