Blake Jones embodies a strong entrepreneurial spirit and an unwavering commitment to excellence. His journey began with his first job working for his father, a second-generation home builder, where he developed a lifelong passion for real estate and hard work. After earning a degree in finance from the University of Arkansas, Blake launched a career in banking. Shortly after, he obtained his MBA and transitioned into a financial planning career with Merrill Lynch. This role gave him invaluable insight into the nuanced needs people have at different life stages and how life-based decision-making profoundly influences outcomes.
Motivated by this knowledge, Blake pivoted to a career in real estate in 2016, relocating with his family to Florida’s Scenic Highway 30A. Over the years, he has built an accomplished real estate career, assembling a dynamic team at the Carroll Jones Group, a top-producing team with Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty.
Through Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty, Blake benefits from the unmatched global recognition, marketing expertise, and prestige of the Sotheby’s brand—widely regarded as the number-one local brokerage along Scenic Highway 30A and the surrounding Florida Panhandle. The Sotheby’s name, synonymous with luxury and excellence, provides the group with unparalleled resources, including deep-rooted marketing strategies that combine innovative technology and a global network of affluent buyers. Blake not only sells the Emerald Coast—he also invests in it. As the developer of a large townhome project along the Emerald Coast, Blake has demonstrated his commitment to the area’s growth and vitality. This standout development features 10,000+ square feet of heated and cooled space, incorporating a blend of concrete and wood-frame construction for both durability and aesthetic appeal. From acquiring the land and securing financing to designing the final product and overseeing construction, Blake has led the project with vision and expertise. His hands-on approach reflects his dedication to creating exceptional spaces that complement the beauty of the Emerald Coast.
Beyond real estate, Blake is a driving force behind community-building initiatives in the Emerald Coast. He co-founded Sowal Bocce Co., a thriving social network and league that connects locals and visitors alike through the shared love of bocce ball. Blake also co-founded Sowal House, a swanky, upscale jazz club that serves as a cultural hub for live music, art, and community gatherings. His passion for entertainment extends further as a co-founder of the Sand Up Comedy Festival, which brings top-tier comedy talent to the area, infusing the local scene with laughter and creativity.
In addition, Blake launched Sowal Luxury Properties, a premium rental management company dedicated to delivering exceptional vacation experiences along the Emerald Coast. With a focus on top-tier service and local expertise, the company has become a trusted name in luxury property management.
