Brad Porter brings extensive real estate, land development, and homebuilding experience as the founding principal for WestCal Property Group, Inc.
From 1997 to 2012, Brad served as Vice President and Principal at a private homebuilding company in Manhattan Beach, California. Brad oversaw companywide residential real estate acquisitions, financial modeling, entitlements, and land-development for residential development projects. Brad also oversaw project development schedules and timelines, and coordinated all project managers during the homebuilding process. During his tenure he was integral in acquiring and entitling over 1,900 lots/units for infill projects in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino, and Santa Barbara Counties which resulted in unit gross sales in excess of $500 million--with another estimated $200 million remaining inventory to be sold.
Prior to 1997, Brad worked as Project Coordinator with a Southern California-based custom-homebuilder and was involved in all aspects of homebuilding on estate-home projects in Southern California coastal markets. Brad began his real estate career at Northern Trust Bank in Los Angeles, where he earned the Real Estate Officer title during his tenure.
Brad holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Real Estate Development degree from the University of Southern California. He is a California Licensed Real Estate Broker and a California Licensed General Contractor.
