About Bragi

Approximately 20 years ago, Bragi Sigurdsson relocated to the Sunshine State. After endeavors such an successful restaurateur and health club owner in his native country of Iceland, he founded Sigurdsson Schechter Luxury Real Estate. A Miami based firm that specialized in the high-end condominium market in South Beach. After great success, he decided to merge with One Sotheby’s.

Today he’s a proud member of the Douglas Elliman team, still handling luxury condos and upscale single family residences in the Miami and surrounding areas. This top producer possesses an enviable track record for delivering high returns for his investors. A particularly notable example is the $12.5 million sale of the Penthouse East at the Fontainebleau that resulted in a $6 million profit for his client. Bragi says, “I stay on top of the market to produce results like that for investors,” adding that “such 50% returns are not uncommon”.

A firm believer that good habits are the key to success, Bragi trains daily at 6 A.M. and customarily sets aside time every day for researching the local, national, and international real estate markets. Bragi, who holds a degree in psychology, states that “The more you know and understand, the more valuable you are to your clients. Expertise and integrity are the key. One has little value without the other.”

Bragi has made Miami his second home but stays true to his roots visits his homeland at least once a year with his wife and sons. Currently living in Coconut Grove with his wife — an expatriate from Jamaica, and their three sons. “My passions are my family, good food, cars, motorcycles, and my work,” he says. “Over the years I have learned to balance it all."
