A Seattle native, Brett attended Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut where he graduated in 2003 with an honors BA in English Literature. From there he moved to Chicago where he studied Finance and Economics at Northwestern University with a focus on Real Estate Investment.
Growing up in a real estate family, Brett had the advantage of being exposed to a wealth of real estate knowledge from a young age. This experience gave him a firm understanding of what it takes to succeed in the world of real estate and led him to a set of values that define his business relationships today. Through honesty, friendliness, and integrity he has built a loyal client base who appreciate his grounded and straightforward approach which he brings to every transaction, large or small.
Before joining the team at Compass (previously NWG), Brett worked actively in the Short Sale/Foreclosure market as an investor where he gained a broad understanding of the challenges and benefits of working with distressed properties. He has an active interest in real estate as an investment tool and enjoys helping others realize their goals in this area. As a full time, broker with Compass, Brett now works with a full range of clients from first time homebuyers to developers and distressed property investors.
As a Northwest native, Brett also enjoys skiing and sailing and spending time with his wife and three children. Brett also lived and studied in Thailand and China for almost two years and has an avid interest in Asian culture, language, and cuisine.
