A native of Philadelphia, Brooke graduated from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications with a B.S. in Television, Radio & Film. Following an honorable discharge from the US Army, he headed for Hollywood, where he worked at Creative Artists Agency and Fox Broadcasting Company before transitioning to real estate.

Along with his girlfriend and a Norwich Terrier called Rigby, Brooke currently resides in Wellington, where his varied interests include technology, film, television, Kindle digital books, cooking, and rooting for the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles. A regular participant in Let's Read Volunteer, he provides weekly readings for an inner city kindergarten class in West Palm Beach.
