I contacted Mr. Batten while still living in Washington DC, regarding some listings I found online. Mr. Batten responded to all my calls with a pleasant and professional manner. He responded promptly to each call. I decided to rent when I arrived to Ga, before buying. Mr. Batten went out of his way and went to the apartment complex I chose online to rent and made sure it was a safe area for my family. When I arrived in Ga., Mr. Batten had several homes lined up for me to visit. He scheduled appointments with me and was always prompt and professional. Each time we met, Mr. Batten greeted me with his pleasant personality and welcoming smile. He worked patiently with me and showed me homes for several days until we found the perfect home for my family. He made the closing on my property quick and easy. It was a cash deal and all I had to do was make the money transfer and show up for the closing. Mr. Batten made such a positive impression, that I gave him the listing for some property I had. I found Carl by calling the listing office of a HUD home. It was the first home that I wanted to walk through on my journey to buying my first home. I called and he agreed to meet at the home. This was in February 2014. Of course, with that being the first home I toured, things didn't work out and this started our 5 month journey of finding my dream home (with my picky must haves) I started with one mortgage lender and if it hadn't of been for Carl, I probably would not be in the home I am in now. Carl convinced me to talk to another mortgage lender which helped me increase my budget. When I finally found a home in May 2014, the listing agent on this home recommended that I get approved with their lender which was no problem because Carl knew an agent with that lender who was able to get me approved in no time at all. Carl also helped me get my new home insured and saved me a ton of money by referring me to his insurance agent. All in all, Carl's knowledge of the real estate business and his connects with all the right people made my first home purchase a pleasant one. Of course, there were bumps in the road, but for every bump, Carl knew exactly what to do and helped me make the best decisions.
