For more than 25 years, she has been a driving force in the fight against juvenile diabetes through her work with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). She also served as Chair of the JDRF Children’s Congress in Washington, D.C., where she worked with 200 families from all 50 states to advocate for increased research funding.
