Caroline “Pinky” Luat Young has been a licensed Realtor since 2004, when her career first led her to training and leadership as an associate with Keller Williams. Her experience with coaching and mentoring licensees along with working in partnership with regional and market center management provides an in-depth value to both her clients and community at large. With her depth of understanding the nuances of the real estate transaction from intricacies at all levels, in mid-2019, Pinky made the transition out of leadership back into the rank-and-file agent pool. A new chapter supported by the prestige and reputation that Sotheby’s International Realty is synonymous with marks this new era for Pinky.
Pinky and her husband reside in Historic Filipinotown (HiFi), where they have completed the building of a new art space which will launch in early 2020- a property Pinky found while door knocking in this untapped farm that is already rapidly blossoming. HiFi is only one of the areas she serves, having transacted at all points east including Echo Park, Highland Park, El Sereno, Boyle Heights, City Terrace, Glendale, Silver Lake, and Westlake, as well as Los Feliz, Burbank, and Hollywood. While residential properties are her wheelhouse, Pinky has represented many investors with specific goals. Her clients include types referred to as the “millionaire next door”, empty nesters, and first-time buyers.
A consistent theme from testimonials of the experience working with Pinky is her grasp of all the moving parts of a transaction. She possesses extreme sensitivity, discretion, and efficiency in setting expectations and executing as smooth a sale as possible, especially for those with very small margins for error. Operating at her highest and best seems to naturally occur when the flames are highest, a quality that often puts her clients at ease.
Pinky has been a member of the Screen Actors Guild since 1996. This has impacted her capabilities in providing a creative agility for high level expectations, dense contracts, as well as answering to the needs of multiple decision makers at any given time. As a cancer survivor, she has donated years of volunteering and fundraising efforts through Relay for Life. Pinky performed as the lead singer and guitarist for LA’s only all-Realtor band, The Agents, and presently plays jazz trumpet with the Hollywood Highsteppers at the Silver Lake Conservatory of Music, where she serves as an ambassador for all things community and music education related.
Pinky hails from the Philippines and grew up in Chicago. She has one daughter who is in fourth grade. She is an avid runner and local racer, and appreciates that often, real estate is a marathon and not a sprint.
