Carter Wilcox's success can be credited to her calm nature, extensive knowledge of the Manhattan market, and meticulous attention to detail in both understanding the needs of her clients and leading them through each step of the buying or selling process.
When Carter first moved to Manhattan in 1994, she worked in the design studio of Brunschwig & Fils, where she assisted in the development of the company's fabric collections which are marketed around the world. Combining this experience with her MBA, Carter opened a retail furniture store for a New York interior design firm.
Joining The Corcoran Group in 2001 allowed Carter to combine her appreciation for design and enthusiasm for working with people in a dynamic industry that touches the lives of all New Yorkers. Carter has developed extensive experience pricing properties and closing transactions as well as a strong base of loyal clients. She has sold and closed over $500,000,000 worth of co-ops, condos, and townhouses and is consistently ranked in NRT’s (Corcoran’s parent company) Top 1000 Sales Associates out of the 50,000 sales associates across all NRT brands. She is often among the top monthly Corcoran sales agents and earned the number-one spot for July 2019.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, Carter attended St. Andrew's School in Delaware and earned her B.A. in Asian Studies from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, where she played on the women's varsity squash team. During her junior year semester abroad in Thailand, she acquired a conversational mastery of the Thai language. In addition, Carter pursued studies in Mandarin Chinese at Thunderbird School of Global Management, in Arizona, where, after spending her final semester in China, she received her MBA.
