About Chris

Chris Kemp is an Associate Broker with Equity Real Estate Professionals and CEO of the Chris Kemp Realty Group. Chris is a graduate of Brigham Young University and received his BS degree in Construction Management, Business and Spanish. He speaks fluent Spanish.

From an early age of 14 Chris realized he wanted to be involved in real estate. Growing up in the Bay Area of Norther California Chris has been involved in real estate in one way or another for over 30 years. After graduation he went to work as a project engineer on the largest construction project in the world at the time, the Micron Technology Campus in Lehi Utah, where he had responsibilities of over $400 million in improvements. After leaving Micron he founded WesTech Construction and built more than 200 custom homes in the northern Utah area. It is this knowledge of construction that makes him so valuable to his clients in evaluating properties with a builders perspective.

Chris is also founder and CEO of Dorado Investments, an investment company that invests in distressed properties and sells them for top dollar. He has averaged 28% return on his clients investments for the last 9 years.

Chris was one of the top sales agents with All Pro Realty and moved to Equity Real Estate in 2007. He has consistently been one of the top producers at Equity since joining them and has been on their power professionals list for 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. He has taught distressed property, foreclosure and real estate classes at Brigham Young University.

He lives in Highland Utah with his family of 3 girls and two boys. He is currently acting Chairman of the Highland City Planning Commission. He enjoys restoring classic cars and fly fishing Utah’s beautiful mountain streams and for salt water species of fish as well, in places such as Belize, The Bahamas, Colombia, Mexico and other warm water locations.
