About Chris
I spent four years in the U.S. Navy and then earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from George Mason University. Over the next 15 years, I was a software developer, software architect, and project manager for Fortune 10, Internet and telecom startups, including one who made “IPO of the Year.” After our second child was born, we moved from the Washington, DC area to Cleveland and I became a stay-at-home dad until I had the opportunity to try my hand at being a commercial real estate appraiser. I enjoyed appraisal work, but knew I wanted my own company and made the transition to a full-time REALTOR in 2004.
After a few years working in the real estate industry, my wife and I opened Olsen Ziegler Realty with a mission to serve clients on a more personal level. We agreed that our boutique brokerage would be different from the big-industry types by providing unparalleled service offerings including total transparency of our commission plan, omission of unnecessary fees, highly qualified and experienced allied real estate service providers, and detailed attention to home preparation and marketing, including staging and renovation.
We don’t believe that one size fits all in the real estate market. We know that buying and selling a home is one of the largest financial decisions our clients make and that we are active participants in the outcome. We don’t take that lightly, nor do we treat it as just another deal. Instead, we respect the fact that our clients are individuals who have specific needs, budgets, and timeframes, and we work hard to ensure that they achieve a successful outcome.
