Christopher Byrd

My name is Chris Byrd, and I am a long time resident of the Upstate of South Carolina. Married, with four children, I have experienced much of what Spartanburg and surrounding areas have to offer. I joined Century 21 Blackwell & Company here in Boiling Springs, and am really enjoying the opportunity to help people in the Upstate conduct the business of buying and selling homes. I believe the role of real estate agent cannot be underestimated, given this is the single largest, most important purchase that a person will make in their life. I love the feeling that comes from helping a client move to where they want to be.

My background is in sales and marketing, and this has taught me that there is no substitute for listening to the client, and understanding what they want, before trying to find a solution. I spend 21 years at Milliken Chemical Company, followed by six years leading the sales and marketing effort at a local non-profit and time as a business strategy consultant. In every role, I most enjoyed the time with clients, so my position as a realtor® gives me the opportunity to do this daily.

I love coaching, playing music and teaching in my spare time, as well as time with the family. Give me a good old movie, or some action and explosions and my day is complete. My wife is a school teacher as well as a partner with me in real estate, so you get the best of both of us at all times
