Christopher Cunniffe

Chris has held the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation since 2004. He actively brokers both residential and commercial real estate transactions. He offers his clients the additional depth of experience he has gained from being an active real estate investor and developer. In his role as Managing Broker, Chris also supervises and mentors the entire team of real estate advisors at Engel & Völkers Charleston.

Originally from Massapequa, NY, Chris relocated from New York City to Charleston in 1998. He is a graduate of Holy Cross College (B.A., magna cum laude, 1993) and Harvard Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1996). Following law school, Chris practiced law for 8 years in New York City and Charleston. As a lawyer, he had the opportunity to represent a broad spectrum of parties involved in real estate transactions. In 2004, Chris founded Harbor City Real Estate, an independent boutique real estate agency, which became affiliated with Engel & Völkers network in 2020.

Chris is actively involved in the community. He is a former President of the Commercial Investment Division of the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors. He has previously served as a planning commissioner on the Town of Mount Pleasant Planning Commission and as a member of the Town’s Commercial Corridor Design Review Board. Chris currently serves as a board member of two Charleston area non-profit organizations — Bliss Spiritual Coop, Inc. and The Charleston Jung Society, Inc.

Chris is married to Ann Goulding Cunniffe and they reside in Mount Pleasant, SC.
