As first time home owners she was on our team throughout the process and was there to guide every step of the way making it super easy for us. We thoroughly enjoyed working with her. We started the process with her being our real estate agent and ended the process with finding a new friend.

The home buying process in LA can be brutal, unless you have someone like Coleen by your side. She is the ABSOLUTE best and we feel incredibly luck to have had her on our side. In buying our home, it was an almost 2 year long process in an insanely competitive market, and through it all Coleen was a constant source of optimism, warmth, and humor. At every step of the way it felt like she wanted the absolute best for us. She was never pushy and would be the first to tell us to walk away if a home was overpriced or the sellers too demanding. At no point did it feel like we were just a sale to her, more like a good friend trying to help us through the process.

She's incredibly patient, meticulous, and timely. The sale happened during an intensely busy time for my wife and I, and not only did Coleen hire every inspector for us but she was at every inspection regardless of whether we could make it or not, taking notes and asking questions. The people and companies she hires come incredibly well reviewed and are some of the best in the industry. Her integrity is obvious in everything she does and everything she advises you to do. She also has an immense wealth of knowledge about renovations and home repairs and will give you the best advice and recommendations. If you're unsure about the cost of something - she'll go ahead and get you a second estimate without you even asking.

We had a complicated sale and she was at the house for almost a month making sure everything went smoothly. She treated our home as if it were her own, and I can't imagine any other realtor would have put in the time and care she did. Coleen was so kind and lovely - she's the best decision we made when we started this journey - and she's the only thing we'll miss about the home buying process.

Our family had an amazing experience working with Coleen to purchase our home in L.A. She helped us find a home that we truly love.

We were a particularly difficult case: We needed to sell and buy a home within a short period of time and Coleen guided us through every step, even when we felt like our situation was impossible to pull off in L.A.'s housing market. And during a pandemic no less!

Coleen really cares about her clients and is a professional steady hand through the most stressful parts of the process.

When we started house hunting, we were lucky to find Coleen Novak, now with Compass Realty. Coleen is all in for her clients. She is extremely responsive to your needs. Your problems are her problems.We looked at over 50 houses and Coleen never wavered in her determination to find us the right home. She is professional and knows her stuff, meaning you can leave things in her capable hands. She’s friendly and easy going. Not only would I call Coleen our agent but I would call her a friend too. I feel incredibly lucky to have met Coleen during my search for a house in LA. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect agent or person to help guide me and find my first house. She was so patient with me, sending me listings every week and going to countless open houses together for the better part of a year. When I lost out on a few homes, Coleen was always encouraging and optimistic that a better house would come around. When that house finally did come around, her strategy and direct communication with the seller's agent helped my offer get accepted!

Coleen's extensive knowledge about all things related to home buying and LA also played a huge role during escrow and inspections. Her recommendations to do my due diligence during inspections really helped me feel confident about my decision and the biggest investment I'll probably ever make.

I highly recommend Coleen if you're looking to buy a home in LA. I love the house she helped me buy and plan on staying here for a while, but if I were to move I'd work with her again in a heartbeat!

Coleen is spectacular. She was so insightful, patient, responsive and such a big advocate for us during our purchase, as well as our shifting needs.

She is an expert in the area, we specifically looked in NorthEast Los Angeles/Pasadena. She operates with integrity and is much more than a 'service provider' and more of a consultant, who helped us understand our own unarticulated needs.

She was very communicative throughout the process, and made herself available to chat, provide insight/advice, and recommend negotiation tactics that were unique to our needs. She helped make our dreams become a reality.

After socking away savings during the weird last few years, we made the mistake many others did in deciding 2021 was the year to buy our first home! It's a tough time to be a home buyer and it's also a tough time to be an agent for a home buyer. Coleen came recommended and took over our search at a moment's notice. Right off the bat she impressed us with how much she communicated with the listing agents so that our offers could be realistic and strategic. She cheered us up when we were outbid on countless homes we were excited about; saved us effort in not bidding on stuff that went way over our budget; never made us feel bad when we refused to settle and--finally--talked us out of our panic when we finally had an offer accepted! We feel incredibly lucky to have worked with her and would recommend her without reservation to anyone thinking of embarking on purchasing a home. We're so happy with the home we ended up buying... and we never would have made it to that point without her patience, persistence and calm, informed counsel. In this market your realtor becomes practically a part-time therapist--and she has the people skills to be that!
