Courtney is a veteran broker with more than 25 years of experience in the real estate industry on the island. She joined Sandpiper in 1997 and in 2011, she and her business partner and sister, Lesley Heidt, took ownership of the agency. Since taking over, Courtney has grown the brokerage dramatically to become a trusted, well-recognized brand and one of the top agencies on the island. She oversees the myriad of details involved in the daily business, from managing agents to the overall operations and she is also a top-producing broker.

Courtney is active in the industry, currently serving as President of the Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors™ (CCIAOR), Director of the Martha’s Vineyard Multiple Listing Service (MVMLS) and is a member of the Martha’s Vineyard Advisory Group. She is Past-President of the Martha's Vineyard Multiple Listing Service and Past-Dukes County Director of the Cape Cod and Islands Association of Realtors™. She is a 2018 graduate of the CCIAOR Leadership Academy and was recently named the 2021 CCIAOR Realtor® of the Year for her generous service to CCIAOR and MVMLS. Courtney also holds the SRS (Seller Representative Specialist) designation as well as the RENE (Real Estate Negotiation Expert) certification.

Originally from Connecticut, Courtney was a fifth-generation summer resident of Oak Bluffs until she decided to make the island her permanent residence. She lives in West Tisbury with her husband and two sons.
