About Craig

Craig Bertrand is a licensed REALTOR® serving the Sioux Falls, South Dakota metro area and communities across the Minnesota border. He is a Broker Associate with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Midwest Realty, serving buyers and sellers in Brandon, Harrisburg, Tea, Hartford, Dell Rapids, and surrounding communities since 2016.
Craig grew up on a farm in southwestern Minnesota, where he learned early that there are no shortcuts to doing good work. That work ethic carried him through nearly two decades of restaurant management, where he learned to juggle HR, customer service, inventory, staff training, and operations all at once, often at the same time. When his first daughter was on the way, Craig made a deliberate choice to build a career with more flexibility and more purpose. He chose real estate and never looked back.
Craig holds the RENE (Real Estate Negotiation Expert) certification. His RENE training reinforced something he already believed: that a successful negotiation is rarely one-sided. Getting a deal to the closing table takes two agents working together, not against each other. Craig brings that cooperative mindset to every transaction. He has earned Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Honor Society and Leading Edge Society recognition for his production volume within the company.

Craig is also an Eagle Scout, a distinction that reflects his commitment to the long game. Earning the Eagle badge is not something you rush. It takes years of consistent effort, community service, and leadership. That same mindset shapes how Craig approaches his business: show up every day, do the work, and let the results speak over time.
As a father of two girls, Craig connects easily with growing families who are buying their first home or making a move up. He does not sell square footage. He sells what homeownership actually feels like: the pride of a well-kept yard, the chaos of a good garden, the Sunday projects that become family memories. He has lived it, and he helps clients see it.
Craig is currently licensed in South Dakota and Minnesota. He serves the full Sioux Falls metro, including Minnehaha and Lincoln counties, and brings genuine firsthand knowledge to both sides of the border. He spent roughly half his life in southwestern Minnesota and the other half in the Sioux Falls area, with additional time in Fargo, North Dakota and Honolulu, Hawaii.
Looking ahead, Craig is actively building toward the luxury and upper-tier market, applying the technology, systems, and client-relationship skills he has developed across every price point.
