About Dan

Dan McLean knows there is no place like home, whether you are a family of one or family of eight. He also knows that buying or selling real estate is the biggest investment that most of his clients will ever make, and he works hard to protect that investment by helping them make the right choices and guiding them through the entire process. Dan and his husband live in the Duboce Triangle district of San Francisco, where they are landlords of a two-unit building that they own. They love travel, their pet corgi, growing tomatoes for homemade salsa and visiting different baseball stadiums across the country to watch their beloved Giants play. For the ultimate in relaxation, Dan enjoys boating in the Sacramento Delta.

After graduating with a B.A. in Real Estate and Land Use Affairs from Sacramento State University, Dan entered the real estate industry by joining a title company. He remained in the title business for 11 years, working in many counties across the Bay Area before landing in San Francisco. He switched from title to sales and now has more than 22 years of selling experience and a portfolio of 400-plus properties sold to date.

Today, Dan is a Luxury Property Specialist with Coldwell Banker Realty. Named to the International Society of Excellence, an honor awarded to less than 1% of all Coldwell Banker® agents worldwide, Dan is an expert at marketing, negotiating, communication, market analysis and managing repairs while improving a property for sale. He has clients across all San Francisco’s neighborhoods and districts with the sale and purchase of single-family homes, attached condominiums and townhomes, tenancy in common investments (TICs) and 2-4 units, including triplex and fourplex rental properties. Colby Josey, his assistant, and Dan have a full team of professional painters, repair people, flooring experts and more on call.
