Dana Epstein

Dana Epstein, an Austinite since 1999, moved to the city to attend the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism in 2002 and earned a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School in 2006. Like many others, Dana quickly realized Austin was the best city in the country and feels the same way today. She has also lived in several other places, including New Jersey, Connecticut, Oklahoma, and Washington, D.C.

Dana most recently spent 13 years in Jewish communal service at Shalom Austin, where she served as the Assistant Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Greater Austin. Dana was responsible for leading many important initiatives, including various outreach and engagement efforts, creating networking and community service opportunities with many local nonprofits, overseeing multiple volunteer committees, developing leaders, and working closely with the Board of Directors. She received Shalom Austin’s first Staff Exemplar Award in 2013 and the Selfless Service Award from Hindu Charities for America in 2015 for her years of collaboration on the Bollywood Meets Borscht Belt fundraising event to provide school supplies for homeless children.

Dana is committed to serving the needs of her clients by finding them a home that meets their needs and helping them feel at home in Austin as soon as possible. She is a great connector and lover of all the things that make Austin such an incredible city.
