David Ivy

David is a fifth generation Texan who began his real estate career as an investor in 2012 while a graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin. After teaching at UT Austin and UT San Antonio, he chose to remain rooted in the city and state he loves and go into real estate full-time in 2016.

David’s extensive investment experience and unique educational background are tremendous assets to his clients, whether they are sophisticated investors or first-time home buyers or sellers. David is a skilled educator, negotiator, and client advocate who ensures his buyers and sellers thoroughly understand the market, avoid major surprises, and protect their interests in one of life’s most consequential financial transactions.

David is originally from the Houston area and has called Austin home since 2006. He and his wife, Erin, have three children, including twin boys. He loves playing guitar and drums, reading, exploring new restaurants and bars, and taking advantage of Austin’s live music scene.
