David Plake

David Plake is the president and CEO of Garrison Group and a Certified Property Manager® with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®). David provides executive leadership for the company’s growing team of commercial and residential real estate professionals. Under his leadership, Garrison Group became southern Illinois’ first IREM Accredited Management Organization® (AMO). The IREM AMO® is reserved for management companies with only the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.

David joined Garrison Group in 2009. Since that time, he has led the company’s growth from 5 managed properties to nearly 100 properties over a 15,000 square mile area. The company serves local, regional, and national clients in medical, financial, and service industries. Clients include organizations such as Orkin, AT&T, Hospital Sisters Health Systems, the State of Illinois, and the U.S. Government.

David is a licensed realtor, a member of the Capital Area Association of Realtors, the Illinois Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Prior to launching Garrison Group’s commercial property management business, David served a local multi-campus non-profit for 22 years, managing finances and facilities across a large mixed-use campus. He also led the construction and rent-up of a 60-unit HUD 202 project.

David and his family have been actively involved in the Springfield, Illinois, community for over 35 years. They are avid fans of the Saint Louis Cardinals and the Williamsville-Sherman Bullets.
