The most caring realtor I was happy to find in Virginia Beach. My wife was very picky and I a person trying to have all my ducks in a row before buying a house to settle in for my retirement years.DeAnn made sure I had my pre-approval finances ready to drop. Two years we waited and when the house was there to grasp she got it for us. We are out of state and she handled all the details to the closing. Kindness and looking out for out of state buyers is rare in a remote zoom world. She masters it.

I am so glad our good friends recommended DeAnn to us. As first-time home buyers, we were so nervous to start the process but she was able to explain things to us in a way that we understood and literally held our hands every step of the way from start to closing. She is extremely knowledgeable which is great especially in this crazy market. She tells it like it is and will definitely let you know if there is something to be concerned about. We put complete faith and trust in her and she 120% delivered. She even got us the cutest gift as a housewarming present and it really made us feel like she truly cared about us as clients. First of all Berkshire Hathaway is a premier real estate business, and one of the realtors, DeAnn Brenneman is as outstanding in her search for your home as anyone you would want. I lived about 160 miles northwest of Virginia Beach, so a half an hour heads up for a showing just wouldn't work for me. DeAnn was constantly aware of what was on the market as most realtors are but she took a keen interest in what my likes and dislikes were, and as the journey continued thru multiple trips and the parade of homes, she wanted to make sure that I didn't just buy anything, so she could move on. She regularly communicated with me to keep me informed of what was available. DeAnn was patient, even during my periods of disappointment. She was encouraging and often stressed that Rome was not built in a day. There were a few houses I liked, and she would point out things I hadn't noticed. That really impressed me because I thought at one point I was being too picky. For over a month, during this journey, she coordinated with my real estate agent who was selling my home at the same time I was trying to find a new one. She also was in contact with my prospective lenders to remove contingency which limited me from offering a buy before the sale of my home. Ten days after selling my home, DeAnn's email to me included the home I currently own. Buying and closing on your home is a different beast because of the barrage of documents you have to sign timely and submit to your lender . DeAnn would always follow up with reminders every step of the way. Because of her efforts, expertise and advice, the home has already appreciated in value and it is likely to grow even faster. I was very fortunate to be referred to DeAnn. She will do a great job for you.

I literally do not have the words to express how EXTRAORDINARY Deann B is. Extraordinary is an extra way to put it but that’s exactly who she is. Immense knowledge of the industry, terrific communication skills (if it seems like she’s taking a while to respond it’s because you are getting the absolute most informed response available), excellent negotiator, patient, consistent and a genuinely amazing person. My wife and I hit so many bumps in the road and being 8.5 months pregnant we didn’t worry because we trusted Deann to deliver and in the clutch, SHE DID. Her and her team were the most professional and fun to work with. I’m already looking forward to sell our starter so we can hire her again to sell and buy! DeAnn is amazing, I'm writing this review 3 months after purchasing my home so I've experienced the whole process. She goes above and beyond, she pays attention to detail and it actually feels like she cares. Prior to buying the house there were tons of issues with the sellers agent, she was like a bulldog on him making sure he gave us everything. I'm pretty sure we changed what we "wanted" 20 times, she stayed patient the whole time. There was some issue about the septic and things were ambiguous and unclear, she must have called 10 different people and utility companies to track down that information because she knew it was important to me. Three months after purchasing the home, I had an issue with my plumbing, so I reach out to DeAnn and of course she goes into terminator mode calling the Department of Professional Occupation Regulations just to get a contact # for the contractor that did the work. This is 3 months after the purchase. like I said, she's amazing.

She explained the home buying process to me, answered all of my questions, and made sure the homes we viewed met my requirements and budget. She gave me great recommendations for contractors and extremely helpful tips for a first-time home buyer. She is very understanding and does not pressure buyers; she works very hard to make sure that the buyer finds the right house. Wow, where to begin! From the very beginning of our home buying journey, DeAnn has been wonderful. She met with us right away to answer any questions we had and gave us an abundance of resources to make informed decisions. DeAnn was always readily available and responded in a timely manner. In addition, she was always there when we needed to do something from tours in the beginning to the final walk-through of our new home. As first time home buyers, we had many questions along the way - DeAnn always answered them or researched the answer if she did not know.
