I met Debbie when I was actually considering leasing a home. As the process started and her inquiry to what my needs were, and where I wanted to live, she advised that for the rent I would be paying, I could put it toward a mortgage. I didn't think I was ready at the time. I was recently divorced, mother of two beautiful children, and trying to adjust to doing life as single parent. I didn't think my credit was fair enough. She put me in touch with her team, and I completed the paperwork. I wouldn't have guessed it at the time, but I was pre-approved and qualified for $300,000!
The HGTV life came to my mind, and we started house shopping! It was so exciting, and a lot to consider in making decisions. I wanted my children involved in the process so that they could identify what room they would like, and if they could envision living in the home we selected.
It took some time, there were a few things I needed to work on with my credit still, but Debbie was there! She was there with me every step of the way. I was hesitant, I was unsure if I could handle doing this and she gave me encouragement and lessened my anxiety and fear. One of her skills is communication. She communicates about what is real, gives information about the home we visited, and discussed future outlooks. Another quality I appreciated about her was her belief in the Lord, Jesus Christ. This ultimately is what brought us closer together because I developed more of a confidence in her and trust. These days you have to be careful about people because there are so many scams going on. At the end of the day (the journey), FAITH is what brought me through. Today, me and my children have been in the same home for eight (8) years. My son has graduated from high school, and attending ULL, and my daughter starts high school this year. My goal is to see them through high school in this home. It has been perfect for us! We have everything we need, and the Lord blessed us with more than I was ready for. I love it!
It was the most AMAZING feeling to get NEW keys to our NEW HOME! All Thanks to Debbie for her commitment and professionalism!
~ in another four years, I will be planning to transition from the area. I have already alerted Debbie to this fact because I want to prepare for the sale and my transition to the next stage of life for me as an empty nester.
For now.....I'll consider buying a pup to keep me company along the way!

Debbie and everyone at Team Geaux Realty really made this entire process so much easier than it is. She advocated for my wife and I as sellers to make sure that we were happy with the results. Their team has helped me rent multiple homes, buy a home, and sell a home.
