Debra Johnston is the BEST residential realtor I've ever worked with. She went well above and beyond what the average realtor would do, to bring the sale to a close. She was fair to not only us, the sellers, but to the buyer, as well. She was hands on throughout the process and thoroughly involved with meeting inspectors, vendors, repair companies, etc. on numerous occasions. Without her, the sale would not have gone through. The history: The house is over 60 years old and is a Mid Century Modern home designed by our uncle, Ben Hirsch. This neighborhood consists mainly of teardown of these older houses, where the lot is used to build mega mansions. My brother and I did not want this for the house we grew up in, and our parents held so many happy family holidays and celebrations. We wanted to pass it onto another family that would appreciate the design and structure of the existing house, and hopefully get the same enjoyment out of the house, as our family did. Once a serious buyer was found, being the age of the house, there were numerous things found in the inspection that required fixing or mediation. Debra was diligent in getting everything out in the open, resolved, and even bringing some bad news to us, the sellers, to make things fair to the buyer. She presented everything factually and truthfully, letting us know that our decisions about repairs, negotiations were the right things to do - of which we gladly obliged. Again, she was looking out for our best interest as well as the buyers.
We could not have asked for a better realtor, and Debra, we want to graciously thank you for EVERYTHING you did to get this closed.
