About Diamela

After a successful 20-year retail career as a high-achieving marketing and sales executive for two major corporations, Diamela Burguera was eager to apply her well-developed skills and her knowledge of Greater Miami’s neighborhoods to a long-planned career change to real estate. With the self-discipline gained from years of professional practice, she became licensed, trained, qualified and affiliated with Esslinger-Wooten-Maxwell (EWM).

After graduating college with a degree in bilingual business administration, Diamela’s first employment was to provide direct customer banking services in Houston and New Orleans. Thereafter, she accepted a position with a retailer based in Costa Rica as an operation/sales manager; earned a promotion to district sales supervisor, and then to director of marketing and sales. In 2005 she was recruited back to Miami by a major U.S. retailer, progressing from sales and marketing management to executive-level positions. She was corporately recognized for achieving the highest production and leadership rankings, and also as a talented, caring leader and trainer; a skilled customer service and sales specialist.

Now, as a real estate professional with a deep personal understanding about the challenges of relocating, Diamela recalled the levels of patience and empathy required to manage her family’s needs during multiple local and long distance relocations. “Long before I became licensed, I learned firsthand the value of having a trusted, skilled and caring Realtor by my side; one who listened, cared about us, understood our needs, and efficiently facilitated all aspects of a complex transaction to a successful and satisfying conclusion. These experiences, along with my business and educational background, naturally fostered my progression to becoming a real estate professional.
