Dorothy has been our broker through several successful residential real estate transactions. This includes 2 purchases and 2 sales. She has also been our broker for 6 short-term summer rentals of our condo. She has handled all of these in a thoroughly professional and organized manner. Dorothy has a keen understanding of the current state of the real estate markets. She is very even-keeled and always has her eye on making the transaction with a realistic sense of pricing. She works well with other brokers and has always done the showings herself, rather than sending an assistant. Once a deal has been made, her follow-up has been very good in terms of handling the details and making the transaction go through smoothly. As I contemplated retirement, selling my NYC apartment was high on my list. I met Dorothy a year or so before when she gave me guidance on selling the apartment and stayed in touch. She honestly kept pursuing me, which I really appreciated. When I decided to put it back on the market, I called Dorothy to check her references. One client had been with her for 20 years and another, 10 years, both through various properties. This, to me, as a business person, was a sure sign of someone with integrity who engendered loyalty. I feel beyond lucky to have had Dorothy as my broker. She guided me every step of the way and her advice was always right on the money. And, because I lived in California most of the time, Dorothy was incredibly helpful in covering things when I couldn't be there. She is the consummate professional and wonderful with potential buyers. We sold the apartment at just the right time at a price I felt good about in a market that was not the easiest. Dorothy helped us find our dream rental apartment in NYC when we moved in 2013 from Atlanta. Her knowledge of the market and patience taking us to apartment after apartment made the experience stress free. Eight years later we decided to downsize and buy an apartment rather than rent. I had the enormous privilege of working with Dorothy Zeidman to sell my Carroll Gardens condo and buy a coop on the Upper West Side. Dorothy is incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and professional. Buying and selling property in the Big Apple can be quite stressful, and Dorothy was by my side every step of the way, giving me exactly the information I needed when I needed it, and working with everyone from building managers to my attorney to my future coop board to facilitate necessary actions and keep both the sale and purchase moving forward in a timely manner. For example, Dorothy advised me on what renovations I should do to maximize the market value of my condo to ready it for sale. She took me to multiple apartment showings and helped me find my new dream home. My condo closing was literally the day NYC went into Covid lockdown. My laptop died and my attorney closed his office. Dorothy printed out the sales contract, drove up to meet me at a notary public in my neighborhood, and then delivered the signed documents to the buyers' attorney. Because I had no computer access, Dorothy compiled and submitted my coop application with information I emailed her from my phone. I don't know what I would have done without her.
