She regularly participates in masters swimming, fly-fishing, hiking, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking, and scuba diving (fun fact: Colorado has the most certified scuba divers per capita than any other state). Elaine loves to travel to all points of the world learning about other cultures and trying new foods but is also grateful to live in a place where she can frequent world-class museums, exhibits, locally owned restaurants, and concerts. She values her friends, and, at the end of the day, family is everything.
Elaine contributes to Community Food Share, The Wild Animal Sanctuary, National Public Radio, the Meeker Animal Shelter, and the Colorado Healing Fund. She is a PADI certified scuba diver and belongs to Boulder Aquatic Masters and Trout Unlimited.
