Eric grew up in Orleans and graduated from Nauset Regional High School and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He was a radio producer in Los Angeles, San Diego, and New York City as well as a PGA assistant golf professional in California and can still occasionally be found ably swinging the sticks as a member of Eastward Ho Country Club.
