After graduating from college in northwest Ohio, my wife and I moved to North Carolina, where I taught high school and middle school English. A few years later, her career brought us to Richmond—and it didn’t take long for the city to feel like home. New careers, new friendships, and a strong sense of community quickly rooted us here.

Looking for a new challenge, I found my calling in real estate. My very first transaction—helping a young couple purchase their first home—confirmed what I already suspected: guiding people through meaningful life moments was exactly where I belonged.

Today, I’m known for clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and a deep understanding of Richmond’s neighborhoods and housing market. I pride myself on being approachable, responsive, and detail-oriented, making sure my clients feel informed and confident at every step of the process.

I was specifically looking for a realtor with deep roots in Richmond’s culture and experience in Northside, Church Hill, and the East End. Ernie came highly recommended and he did not disappoint. As a first-time homebuyer, I appreciated how he navigated the specific quirks of these historic neighborhoods. By the time we put an offer down on my new home in Northside, I felt 100% confident in the process. He was able to negotiate us under list price as well as make sure certain repairs were complete before move-in. I’ll definitely be sending my friends his way!

Ernie is the perfect realtor to have as a first time home buyer. He is so incredibly dedicated and it was evident that he cared about finding our perfect home from the first phone call. He was dedicated, knowledgeable, detail oriented, and made it clear that our happiness/comfort was top priority. Plus he was always available to answer any and all questions we had. We learned so much from working with him.
