I have lived, raised my kids and worked in the La Grange Il. area for over 25 years Prior to that, I lived 10 years in the Lincoln Park, Old Town and Lake View areas of Chicago. I know the City very well!
In my almost 25 years as a Realtor, I have worked with three of the best known "brand name" firms in Real Estate. I found they did nothing special for the client. The add on fees are illogical. For example, many forms charge as much as 495.00 administrative fee. That's to have your property put on the MLS? That is a basic service. All push is always to charge more, push volume etc. I prefer to set reasonable fees, not charge BS fees. Real Estate is a serious business for Buyers and Sellers. All the hype & advertising is simply to jack up fees. I do not charge "listing agreement fees", "listing input fees", and other malarkey.If you meet someone who does, ask them why you should pay extra for basic services.
My services are focused on YOU, the client. Not a headquarters in Canada or New York. Choosing a Realtor should not be about who sends the most ads. Most ads have agents touting volume, not mentioning that their "team" of several people did the work, not the agent who was hired.
