Geoffrey Keys

After obtaining a BA in Journalism from the University of Northern Colorado, Boulder native Geoffrey Keys returned to his hometown of Boulder to pursue a career in real estate.

The son of an accomplished Boulder broker, Warren “Sam” Keys, Geoffrey joined his father at Lashley-Persons Investment Co. The experience and knowledge he gained during his employment there later served him well when he established Keys Commercial Real Estate in 1984.

Keys Commercial grew into one of the top commercial brokerages in the Boulder/US 36 Corridor marketplace. In 1996 Keys started an investment fund in San Diego County for his Client Crestone Capital Advisors. Keys was able to substantially grow the fund over a 12-year period and deliver an exit doubling investor equity, along with an average of 20% annual IRR’s.

Keys Commercial ultimately managed and had under lease listing over 3M square feet of office/retail and industrial assets in both Colorado and California. In 2021 Keys sold the property management side of Keys Commercial to a large CA based real estate service provider.

Currently, Geoffrey Keys and Keys Commercial continues to provide 3rd party fee acquisition, disposition, and leasing, services along with expert witness reporting and testimony in the Northern Colorado/US 36 Corridor market.
