As first-time homebuyers, we were overwhelmed and didn’t know where to begin. We spoke to several realtors before we found Ivan—and we’re so glad we did. Ivan was the most kind, patient, and responsive person we could’ve hoped for. From day one, he took the time to walk us through every step of the process, never making us feel rushed or uninformed. Whether it was a late-night question or a last-minute document, he was always just a phone call away.

When it came time to house-hunt, Ivan created an incredibly detailed spreadsheet with every apartment we were considering, listing pros, cons, amenities, and more. He helped us narrow things down with clarity and confidence.

Once we found the apartment, Ivan guided us through crafting a smart offer—lower than asking, but thoughtfully positioned so the sellers would take us seriously. It worked. And when it came to navigating the co-op board application (which can be a maze), Ivan spotted outdated documents in the packet and replaced them with the correct ones from his own files. Thanks to that foresight, our package was approved on the first try, while others had to revise and resubmit.

He also stayed on top of our bank when things slowed down, did multiple walkthroughs with us, and was there at the closing to celebrate. Ivan drove long distances, followed up with every party involved, and made sure no ball was ever dropped.

Yes, Ivan charges a 3% commission ( seller usually pays 2% and we covered 1%)—and it was worth every penny. We would recommend him to anyone, but especially to first-time buyers who want a realtor who’s going to treat them with respect, honesty, and care. Ivan isn’t just a realtor—he’s a partner in the journey. We couldn’t be more grateful.

In the very early stages of our housing search, my partner and I randomly connected with Ivan as he was the contact for a specific property we were interested in — and we are so lucky we did! Ivan is a fantastic real estate broker and took excellent care of us throughout the entire process from search to closing. He was diligent in identifying places that lined up with what we were looking for and always went above and beyond to find and show us extra options to make sure we got a complete picture of what was out there. When we paused our search for multiple months, Ivan checked back in with us later when the timing was better for us, alerting us to some new properties that had come on the market within our budget.

He is warm and friendly and so easy to communicate with. He’s accommodating and communicates across email, phone, texting, and meeting in person. He’s very flexible with his schedule and always fit appointments into our limited availability, including taking last minute phone calls in off-hours when we wanted his advice.

Ivan is extremely knowledgeable about the NYC housing market, buyer and seller negotiations, and some of the nuances of property ownership that are essential for first time homeowners. He also has an extensive network of industry contacts and was able to refer us to other services upon our request (such as home inspection companies). Everyone he referred us to has been superb.

Ivan is the best broker I have ever worked with (especially in NYC which can be a bloodbath). He was extremely proactive with making sure I got the best deal, did multiple inspections on my home to ensure the seller completed cosmetic repairs to satisfaction, and most importantly - talked me out of buying a more expensive property because it was a worse value than the condo I closed on (even though that meant less commission for him).

Ivan courteously drove me around to look at places, and gave me honest feedback along the way. He also helped educate me on real estate in general, and was well known by several of the developers of the buildings I was looking at.

Our story began a couple of months ago, when we were actively looking for an apartment to rent, and just by chance decided to take a look at the properties for sale. We met Ivan when we were considering our first option and continued to work with him until we found the right option and closed the deal. And here we are the happy owners of a co-op in Downtown Brooklyn. Generally speaking, he is part of the reason why we chose to buy over rent. He made the whole procedure so easy and painless for us. Ivan was great. We met with him and his colleague from Corcoran at the apartment we wanted to sell, and they took pictures and discussed their terms. The apartment was completely empty, but he was able to do a virtual staging that showed how big the apartment was and how much furniture could fit in the rooms. He also recommended a higher asking price than a previous realtor. His first showing was an open house, and he was able to get two offers from the open house.
