About James

Consistent member of Corcoran's Top 25 President's Council, Wall Street Journal Top 250, and Brooklyn Heights Team of the Year.

Jim Cornell joined the Corcoran Group in 2003 because of the company's widely recognized brand, its technological superiority, and its strong presence in the New York area. He was named to the company's prestigious Multi-Million Dollar Club in that first year and has been the winner of various sales awards at Corcoran ever since. He and his partner Leslie Marshall are Brooklyn's leading sales team with well over a billion dollars in sales since 2007. The Cornell Marshall Team is consistently ranked among the top 25 brokers at Corcoran and was Corcoran's #1 Team in NYC in 2021.

Jim is well versed in the ins and outs of listing and selling every type of property in our Brownstone Brooklyn neighborhoods.

He began his real estate career selling and renting in Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, and Carroll Gardens, where he learned the importance of carefully matching the differing needs of buyers and sellers. He later expanded his focus to include properties in Park Slope, Windsor Terrace, and the surrounding neighborhoods.

He lives with his wife and daughter in Windsor Terrace.
