Originally from Pennsylvania, James was coaching youth hockey after college when he was recruited by one of his player's fathers, a successful Wall Street broker, to work for him as a financial planner. James spent five years learning the market, numerous financial products, and investment strategies when the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, happened. That day was a turning point in his career, and James traded in his suits for desert camouflage. He spent 17 years in uniform, deploying to three countries and serving in four campaigns.
Even while in uniform, James never lost the desire to continue building wealth. Upon retiring from the military, however, he embarked on a career in real estate rather than returning to financial planning. Recognizing that building wealth in the stock market is not feasible for everyone, James appreciates that investing in real estate offers a wider opportunity for financial growth since leverage works to the buyer's advantage.
