About Jen
Having grown up as a future farmer of America in Northern Indiana, Jennifer “Jen” Beehler had her heart set on a bigger world than she could even dream up on that pig farm in the rural Midwest. After high school, she earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications at Indiana University and soon traveled around the world to expand her limited perspective. She taught English in China, did project management and volunteered for the Obama campaign in Cleveland, Ohio, and finally started her real estate career in San Jose, California, with Redfin. Through these years of self-discovery and cultural exploration, she sharpened her natural gifts of observation, understanding of the human condition, and the power of negotiation to form the dynamic real estate agent she is today.
Attentive, sensitive, and savvy, Jen can read between the lines in negotiations as well as determine what clients really want. Organized and detail oriented, she conveys honesty and integrity to her clients. “It doesn’t help my clients to tell them what they want to know,” she says. “I need to tell them the reality so they can work from the facts. I practice sharing bad news or uncomfortable facts with kindness and love.”
It’s a winning strategy that produces positive results. She says, “It’s always the relationships for me. I care about my clients and want them to be successful in their real estate endeavors.” Along with active listening and sincere empathy, Jen leverages her expertise in preparing listings, negotiating sales, and managing any and all transactions to show sellers’ homes in their best light or find the one that’s just right for a buyer.
Off the clock, Jen serves her community by volunteering her time as a member of Rainbow Chambers; the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance; Santa Clara County Association of Realtors® (SCCAOR®) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee; SCCAOR® board member; and a director for the California Association of Realtors®. She also enjoys karaoke, playing dominoes and card games, hosting dinner parties, walking her two dogs, watching sitcoms, and reading books that make her cry. A single mom, she lives downtown with her daughter and enjoys meeting new people every day.
